Freedom Ministry

Freedom Ministry is a kingdom-focused ministry designed to help you become truly free in Christ.

Here at Christ Church, we believe one of the most important steps in our walk as followers of Jesus is to live in freedom.

You may have had moments when you felt if you could just stop (fill in the blank), then you would be free. We often define freedom as the absence of something. This thinking keeps us striving, working hard, and feeling defeated when we fail.

Freedom is the ability to respond fully to God out of who He created and redeemed us to be. Obstacles in our lives often stand in the way of all that Jesus has made available to every believer. As you learn to hear and recognize God's voice, you began to identify the issues and challenges that have held you captive. Removing those things that currently hinder your growth allows you to receive the abundant life God desires to give you, discover your identity in Christ, and learn how to be an influence in the lives of others.

The goal of Freedom Ministry is to equip believers to live the victorious and abundant life Christ came to give us. No matter where you are in your faith journey, you will be challenged to take steps towards truth - about God, about faith, and about yourself.

Freedom Basics

Freedom Basics is a series of 2 classes that are offered on the 1st and 2nd Sunday of each month at 9:00am at Christ Church. These two classes dive into the truth of why we need freedom, the reality of the struggle in the world to live out freedom, and taking a closer look at the ways we strive for freedom and change. These two classes are prerequisites for Kairos. Walk-ins are welcome to each class and registration is not required.

"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36 NIV)

Kairos

Kairos is a time set aside to be with and hear from God. The retreat is set up for you and God and prayerfully designed with worship, teaching, and activations that facilitate and provide time for your personal meditation to hear from God. There are no group discussions. We know that one word from God changes everything.

Kairos is held 2 times a year at Christ Church. The schedule is Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. This is not an overnight retreat. Freedom Basics classes are required to attend Kairos. Click here for more information.

Freedom Groups

The freedom journey grows while in a safe community of a Life Group. In a Freedom Group, you will hear teaching about how to live out the freedom Christ died for. You will dig deeper into scripture about core lies we are all tempted to believe, soul wounds, and how they affect us, life patterns that seem to repeat and demonic influence that we may not be aware of. This teaching is delivered in a video format with a trained facilitator leading discussion all in a safe and supportive environment where confidentiality is upheld. There is no pressure or invasive questions. We invite you to experience the victorious and abundant life that Christ offers you.

You can register online or on the Christ Church App for a Freedom Group during the fall or winter/spring Life Groups semester. Click here to register for a group today!
